Interface roughness and unidirectional anisotropy of thin ferromagnetic film on uncompensated surface of antiferromagnet

Abstract

Magnetization curves of a ferromagnetic film on antiferromagnetic substrate were investigated with account of the frustrations produced by interface roughness. The conditions of appearance of unidirectional anisotropy were obtained and its dependence upon roughness of film¯substrate interface was found.
