Leeb, H. Grötz, and J. Kasper /Institut für Kernphysik, Technische Universität Wien, Wiedner Hauptstraße 8-10/142, A-1040 Vienna, Austria/ R. Lipperheide /Hahn-Meitner-Institut Berlin und Freie Universität Berlin, Glienicker Straße 100, D-14091 Berlin, Germany/ Received 16 May 2000; published 9 January 2001 An experimental method is proposed which allows a complete determination of the complex reflection coefficient for absorptive media for positive and negative values of the momenta. It makes use of magnetic reference layers, and is a modification of a recently proposed technique for phase determination based on polarization measurements. The complex reflection coefficient resulting from a simulated application of the method is used for a reconstruction of the scattering density profiles of absorptive nonmagnetic media by inversion. ©2001 The American Physical Society *URL:* http://link.aps.org/abstract/PRB/v63/e045414 *DOI:* 10.1103/PhysRevB.63.045414 *PACS:* 61.12.Ha ------------------------------------------------------------------------ View PDF (116 kB) *[ *Previous article* | *Next article* | *Issue 4 contents* ]* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ References (Reference links marked with may require a separate subscription.) 1.
